Moab Wedding

Photographer

Are you dreaming of a wedding above glowing red cliffs and beneath towering arches? As a Moab wedding photographer and former Moab hiking guide, I know every epic vista and hidden gem this desert has to offer. Whether you’re looking for a wedding venue set above the Colorado River, amongst the scented sagebrush, or in fields full of cliffrose and paintbrush flowers, I have the insider scoop to help you plan your day.

I’m Danielle, a Moab wedding and elopement photographer. I used to work in Moab as a hiking guide so creating memorable experiences on our public lands is literally my job.

I’ve seen all of the places at all times of day and season - Arches, Canyonlands, Dead Horse, Fisher Towers, Corona Arch, you name it. Guiding clients and living in Moab helped me learn the best local tips to help you plan the perfect wedding day.

If you’ve landed here, chances are you have a special connection to this incredible place in Utah and are looking for a Moab wedding photographer. It’s not usually people’s number one priority, but I think that booking your Moab elopement photographer early is a great move because you’ll definitely want some insider tips to help navigate the different locations, sunset time, permits, and more.

As a former Moab resident and experienced Moab wedding photographer, I’ve captured tons of love stories against the dramatic backdrop of these iconic peaks. From large weddings at The Red Earth Venue to elopements so intimate we need to find another visitor to sign your witness papers, each style of wedding deserves thoughtful coverage that reflects your relationship and your day.

I love capturing “tiny people in big landscapes,” representing you two beautifully against the incredible view. But I also love, love, love the weird, funny, unplanned, candid moments that really give a feel for you two and your day and tell the complete story.

I’m here to document your day in a mostly un-staged way - this means making an itinerary with you but also going with the flow; letting you and have family have moments together and photographing from the outside; overall, just capturing you being you.

I do provide posing prompts occasionally to capture the more dramatic shots that most couples still want, but I never force a pose that doesn’t feel natural. I want you to look at these photos and recognize yourselves and the details that matter most to you.

Moab Wedding Experience

Photographing numerous elopements and weddings in Moab is a great way to learn the landscape, but nothing compares to living in Moab and working in the parks every single day. I know the best hidden vistas, secret spots, and times of day to avoid the crowds - from the most under-hyped viewpoints in Dead Horse to the quietest part of the day in Arches National Park. Moab’s lighting conditions and weather are often unpredictable, and only a local wedding photographer and resident will understand our unique conditions. Every couple will also receive my comprehensive Moab wedding guide along with personalized planning assistance.

Unbeatable Local Knowledge

There is just no comparison to a photographer who has actually lived year-round in Moab. I haven’t just see the wedding venues on the day-of or on Google Earth - I guided clients to Mesa Arch at sunrise and showed them the best sunset photo spots in Arches National Park.

Every time I went rafting, hiking, running, mountain biking, or climbing (so like, every day), I took notes on the lighting, crowds, and secret little spots that travel photographers (or even other Moab wedding photographers who live in town) just aren’t going to know.

All my booked couples receive a detailed wedding or elopement client guide, and as much personal assistance as you need with planning so you can have your dream day.

Natural, Documentary Style

My unobtrusive "documentary-style” approach captures authentic moments as they naturally unfold. I document genuine interactions that showcase your true connection against the red rock backdrop. While I’ll provide guidance when needed, I believe your wedding day should be about experiencing each precious moment, not performing for the camera.

I prioritize real emotions and candid moments that tell your unique story. Whether you're sharing a quiet laugh during your first look or dancing under the stars, my patient, observant style ensures you’ll have images of those fleeting moments you'll want to remember forever.
